DH 96
Overview & Selection Guide

NMI introduces the DH 96 that is added to the ROYAL. General features:

• Fully-programmable digital instruments
• True RMS value measuring mode
• Measurement of voltage or current with the same instrument
• Voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, varmeter, volt-ampere meter, cos j indicator, THD indicator, process indicator, process control, etc.
• High features in the measuring circuit:
    - Accuracy (class 0.1, 0.2, 0.5)
    - Resolution up to 13 bits
    - Display capacity (3 ½, 4, 5 digits)
• Wide range of fully-programmable, multi-scaling digital instruments for measuring in A.C. and D.C.circuits.
• Optional pluggable modules (DH 96 family):
    - Outputs relays
    - Analogue communication (4...20 mA, etc.)
    - Communication to PC (RS 232, RS 485, through MODBUS RTU protocol)
• Auxiliary power supply in A.C. and D.C.
• SOFTWARE (SCADA programs: EASYCOM, CIRNET, etc., for centralization and data logging in a PC of measured values)
• Networking with other RS-485 instruments (CVM power meters, etc.)
• Instruments for particular process control (galvanic baths, encoder control, battery chargers monitoring, solar energy, etc.)
• Centralizing and multiplexing diverse process signals (temperatures, position, electric parameters, earth leakage currents, etc.) into one single instrument (CVM-R8 AD), for a transmissions of these diverse input process signals to a PC (via RS 485)

Digital indicators of the DH96 Series have been designed to offer a wide range of specifications and features in a compact and heavy duty device, thus allowing their operation within any industrial environment meeting all the requirements and standards currently established (electrical noises, electromagnetic disturbances, vibrations, etc.).

• Fully programmable and multi-scaling, for a direct measurement (according to type) or through transformers or shunt (either for voltage and current measurement)
• Displaying capacity of 4 or 5 digits according to the type
• Resolution up to 13 bits

• True RMS measuring mode (TRMS)
• Prepared to be equipped with different types of expansion modules:
    - 2/4 relays
    - Analogue output at 0...20 mA / 4...20 mA
    - RS 485 or RS 232 communication output
Fully programmable output modules
• Indication of relay trip in the indicator frontal
• Tripping points can be changed without the need of accessing the setup menu
• Process indicators with up to 5 programmable points
• Possibility of denying manipulation by PASSWORD (the modification of the relay tripping points is always enabled even if the Password option is set)
• Diverse parameter to be measured according to the model:
    - V and A in A.C. and D.C.
    - Process indicators
    - Direct current analyzers (V - A - kW - kWh - Ah - Amin)
    - Energy counter for direct current (kWh)
