MEMORY CARD READER

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
The MCS-1 is a memory card reader device provided to handle the files recorded by NMI analyzers and download them into a PC computer for data processing purposes.

The device has a memory card slot reader, a 9-key keyboard, and a 16-character display for file handling and an RS-232 communications channel for computer interfacing.

MCS-1 FUNCTIONS:

  • The device may work independently performing the following functions:
  • Format and give a label to a memory card
  • Memory card check (battery check and free space available)
  • Memory card directory (File names and size).
  • Delete chosen files
When connected to a PC computer via RS-232 channel, files may be downloaded for later processing. Interface software is provided.

MEMORY CARDS:
The memory cards consist of static RAM cards with different data capacity, suitable for storing results obtained from different analyzers. Data is maintained in RAM thanks to a replaceable lithium battery.

APPLICATIONS:
The MCS-1 and memory cards provided data link interface between NMI analyzers having memory card recording systems (AR.4) and a PC computer, thus enhancing its features with a great deal of software utilities for data handling and graphic representation.
