CTRS 485
General Characteristics
The CTRS 485 is a panel mounting meter for three phase networks, connectable to RS-485 bus with a PC master computer.
The transducer measures the following parameters (see table 1):
a) True RMS values of V, A, PF, W, var (inductive or capacitive)
b) Acumulated energies (kWh, kvarh inductive and capacitive)
A relay output gives pulses according to measures active energy. The radio (pulses / kWh) is programable. A rechargeable battery keeps accumulated energies for over 90 days without supply.
Parameter readings
Several CTRS 485 may be connected to a RS-485 bus and the mesured values may be read in the master PC with the standard software.
From one single PC up to 32 peripherals may be addressed and read via RS-485 (converters for RS-232 to RS-485 are available). Maximum bus length is 4000'.
Active energy may also be read from the pulses output, when connected to an external pulse counter or PLC.
Standard software
Standard software includes:
- Setup for communication parameters with bus RS-485.
- Setup of CTRS 485 (transformers ratios, pulses/ kWh, etc.)
- PC data adquisition in a CTRS 485 bus with several peripherals.
- Other programs are available on request.
